After lung cancer treatment ends
How long treament lasts depends on the kind of lung cancer, type of treatment(s) and treatment response. Reactions to the end of treatment vary widely--many are relieved, some are excited, most wonder, "Now what?" Almost universal is "scanxiety," the uneasiness that occurs just prior to follow-up appointments and tests. Cancer often brings a sense of feeling that things are out of one's control. After treatment ends, survivors often seek to regain control and to find their "new normal."
