Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM)
Complementary or integrative medicine is traditional treatment combined with supportive approaches such as dietary changes and supplements or activities such as yoga and meditation. When deciding if a complementary approach is right for you, be sure to talk with your doctor as some supplements and herbs may interfere with your regular treatment.
Alternative medicine involves non-traditional therapies used in place of traditional therapies. No alternative medicine approach has been scientifically proven or approved to treat lung cancer.
