Tuesday, May 15, 2007--
Voices of Lung Cancer, a new
compilation of stories written by those affected by lung cancer was
launched by The Healing Project at Marymount Manhattan College in New
York City on Tuesday, May 15. LCA Director of Patient Services, Maureen
Rigney was on hand for the launch but the organization was
well-represented as the book contains inspirational stories and
contributions from many people currently involved with LCA through their
support, advocacy, the Phone Buddy Program,
and as members of the LCA Board of Directors. Included in the book,
LCA Board Member Dr. Deborah Morosini, LCA-GA Medical Advisor Dr.
Michael Smith, LCA advocates and Phone Buddies Ed Levitt, Misha Segal,
Deb Violette, Gail Matthews, Dr. Marvelle Colby, Doris Taylor, Diane
Cole. LCA strongholds David Grant and Sharon Hindus also contributed to
the book; both died earlier this year.
