Lung Cancer Alliance Joins National Partnership for Women & Families' Campaign for Better Care
May 3, 2010 [Washington, DC] -- Lung Cancer Alliance is proud to announce that it has joined the National Partnership for Women & Families’ Campaign for Better Care.
The Campaign for Better Care is a multi-year, multi-faceted approach
to ensuring that health care reform is implemented with the patient
and family in mind and that the health care delivery systems work for
the most vulnerable groups.
The goals of the campaign are to:
- Make
improvements in the health care system so that it delivers high
quality, comprehensive, and coordinated care, especially for
vulnerable older adults and people with chronic conditions
- Build
a strong and lasting consumer voice for better health care by
mobilizing consumer advocates, older adults, and their families.
The
Campaign for Better Care hopes to reach these goals through a series
of policy initiatives, a national consumer coalition, grassroots
mobilization, partnerships and alliances with important health care
stakeholders, and targeted messaging and communications.
Lung Cancer Alliance is honored to be included in these important policy and outreach efforts. Please check www.lungcanceralliance.org regularly for important updates on the Campaign for Better Care’s activities.
